Trying to get people out to the pubs again after Covid.

Been in Dormans, Jack Hatfields and Coronation this week and all have put their lager up by about 15p a pint lately. Went to the Six Medals today for a meal for Cousin’s birthday and Peroni was £5.03 a pint. With all the increases in petrol, gas, electric etc, going out is starting to become a luxury!

I'm out today on a Gary Player, first time in a very long time. I'm actually worrying about how much it's going to cost....

Pub prices are now ridiculous , no wonder a hell of a lot buy cases for 10-12 quid a case & bbq at home now when thew weather is good , pubs ends were signalled by covid sadly & a fiver a pint when you can get cases of peroni for £15-16 for 20

just bought a blade beer machine, well, wife has for my birthday, thats the wat to go for me ,especially now the summer is approaching

My local is only a small place but is quality. I was talking with the owner last week about prices. She was saying they are getting hammered by suppliers and have taken the hit but it's getting too much. Prices will start to go up soon.

People are getting 3% pay rises (if you're lucky) but the cost of everything is increasing including NI, Council Tax, Energy Prices, Food, Fuel, Alcohol and inflation is at 7%.

At what point do normal people say enough is enough?

People are more annoyed about changing the name of a ploughman's lunch than living in poverty while the rich laugh at us

people will cut back on things like beer,or get it from shops, supermarkets,i see hard times ahead for pubs

Definitely. It's the those like my local which is a small business that will suffer most. Just ordinary people running a business that could fall victim.

How much are the breweries increasing their prices compared to the pub companies increasing theirs?

I'd love this type of info to be available so that we can make a more informed choice.

No idea for big pub franchises but I know we've sadly had to increase by 15p a pint, and that's leaving the already narrow profit margin lower than it was before the breweries upped the prices.

It's a hard time for businesses and people.

Think he means, how do they sell it so cheap and make a profit?

I was in the one at Leeds train station on Wed… couple of pints of good real ale, and change from a fiver.

£6 for a pint of Guinness when I got to the airport 😂
