Newcastle fans protesting

What are they protesting at ? Lockdown ending early and them being able (forced to) to go watch them live again ! They want lockdown to continue indefinitely !! 🤣🤣

They are a laughing stock the Toon army. Strangest bunch of football supporters in the country. Why do they think because they have a 52,000 seater stadium they should be entitled to champions league football every season. They haven't won a trophy for god knows how long? I would love to see them get relegated but unfortunately there are three worse teams in that league. Surely the only set of fans who would lose to their biggest rivals then decide to trash their own city???

What a disgusting disrespectful post that is, demonising the 8th greatest team in the world.

I don't know if you are aware but as soon as the Saudi's have finished washing blood off their hands the takeover will go through and Pep is arriving to dominate world football for decades to come.

It's not hard to see why Newcastle fans are frustrated. Jamie Carragher actually summed it up pretty well during his commentry.

Newcastle use to have something about them, but now they're just boring and have been for years. The fans who remember the Keegan and Robson days will be exacerbated by the current situation.

They still harp back to the Keegen days (hit him on the head😂). How long ago was that? Jesus move on.

I know they are dire to watch but they have been for years. Under Rafa they were awful to watch and hardly made any attempt to win some matches.

The one thing I will give them is everytime one of them phones in on Talksport or interviewed on sky they are an actual Geordie. It's great to see a local support👍. Unlike Liverpool and UTD fans who come anywhere.

What manager would realistically look at NUFC and think, yep!

I have this burning hatred of them though. To the point where I want them to rot in national league north for eternity. The reason for this? If they were in a lower league, their fans would expect them to walk the division, win the FA cup and somehow be automatically awarded a champions league place because their stadium is big and they have “passion”.

I would quite like them to just be whipping boys in the PL, escaping relegation by the skin of their teeth every season. Keep the delightful Mike Ashley in the manner he's become accustomed so he has no need to invest, sell them or do anything to upset the status quo.

A fall to depths allows them to rebuild and move foward with renewed hope of better things, this simply will not do. A Groundhog Day type of existence, just barely keeping their heads above relegation for ten years or so would be more soul crushing I believe.

I cant understand the whole protesting/boycoutt thing they keep doing, not once has it even resembled being close to achieving anything other than the deserved derision it gets. They'd have a protest about not having a protest on the go

That would be the same robson they SACKED when they were 5th. They were still moaning then if you remember.

No they’re not there’s loads fake geordie keegan fans that call up talk sport.

They're about where they've been for 50 years, with the exceptions of the Keegan and Robson years, which were little more than a decade in total, if you include the SOuness and Gulit eras in between.

They've had some blocks of 6 and 4 seasons outside the top flight too, so things could be much worse for them.

Like many fans, they mistake their peak for "where we belong".
