The end?

This leads me to the conclusion that the entire war have been led from top down by people who are decidedly not generals, and that do not take the advice of the generals in regards of how to run the war.
Here it is good to note that neither Putin, nor Shoigu have any military training.
None. Not even the back then mandatory soldiers training in the Soviet Army.
I think the biggest problem for the Russians is fear of failure at every level of military and the severe personal and family consequences of those mistakes so nobody wants to make decisions.
So every decision is passed along the lines until it gets to the top, it is then passed back down back to the bottom by the time the message is back to the men on the ground the dynamics and circumstances have changed(things can and have changed rapidly in this conflict) and the orders are almost irrelevant so then a decision needs to be made follow through with the orders or pass the message through the chain again.
It quickly becomes a situation where nobody is able or willing to use initiative and anyone who is able or willing to use initiative is taken out one way or another as these are seen as threats to Russian leadership itself.

A considered piece on the counter offensive which lays into the Ukraine has failed narrative from some western news reporting. It also highlights the Heinz Ketchup effect described by Boro Lads insider

https://newlinesmag.com/argument/russians-see-ukrainian-progress-where-others-dont/

Ukraine have talked today about taking the liberation into Crimea soon
This contrasts with them saying they agree progress is very slow in the counteroffensive
I'm totally not a military expert, but did think it would be harder to liberate against dug in invaders than stop them advancing - BUT it would be nice to think Putin saw Ukraine liberating Crimea before it - hopefully soon - dies

I accept that

And Putinn is a ****. But we have invaded multiple countries which makes this extremely awkward

So we just supply endless military weapons to a country? Regardless of the casualties?

Like I said the pro EU posters seem to be the ones who want to fight. Can we send those trolls first?

No, it makes your comment irrelevant. We are individual citizens and what our government have done in the past doesn’t preclude us, as individuals on a messageboard from wanting Russia to get the f..k out of a sovereign nation that they had no legitimate excuse for taking military action in.

My god this website is pro war and right wing

BoroLad the Ukraine’s are literally dying and getting their legs blown off

Least you and Rob are enjoying it eh?

One of the daftest comments I’ve seen on this forum, considering all the trolls down the years you’ve really excelled yourself.

Ukraine is a sovereign nation defending itself from the imperialist aggression of a dying European empire. An aggression that has been aimed through both threats and direct action in several countries that I have lived in and visited. You go and tell Ukrainians what you think is good for them, let us know how you get on.

For the record, no one is enjoying this f*cking war and for you to suggest otherwise is disgusting.

Ah so, we should just sit back and let russia do what they intended, and take Ukraine, ethnically Clense the country, then once done there move on to the next one?

And just because we had invaded other countries ourselves in the past, shouldn't get involved. Yep turn a blind eye while your neighbours get attacked.

That is one of the most trollish comments on here, most ppl I would say in here are not pro war or even right wing. BTW I am pro EU and would describe myself as a lefty.

The UK are one, of a large number of counties, who acted terribly as a colonial aggressor. How far back do you want to go, when it comes to apportioning blame? France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Austria, Greece, Mexico, Persia, Mongolia, Egypt, earlier? Christianity was born inside a country being dominated by an external imperialistic state.

The British Empire was not the only Empire, and certainly not the only society to suppress and exploit others.

The alternative to supplying weapons and aid to Ukraine is exactly the same as the US supplying the UK in world war 2. If they hadn’t, either your grand parents would have been murdered or you would be speaking German.

Posted at quarter to midnight. Nuff said. 🍺🍷🥃🍸

More likely another long standing guise of the ironically named riverside rifle throwing oxygen to the fire to try to cause outrage and uproar. Best ignored, responses only create guffawing for his pleasure. Whether he is or not, responses of his type are immature and ill thought through in this context.

I'm not so sure its RR, for all I've had one or two disagreements with Exiled his style is totally different as well as being more intelligent than RR, which is clear in most of the postings.

His postings last night were a bit mad, but we never know what's going on in people's lives.

I will however say this board is not right wing or made up of people enjoying the war. I dare say every person on this board wants this madness and bloodshed to end as quickly as possible.
