That's fair enough. I haven't read his Twitter stuff, other than the link you posted so I was just going off that. Sometimes horrible people can make valid points so I had assumed the reaction was to him rather than what he had actually said but I should have known better.

Definitely not going to disagree with you on your opinion of him.

I’m sure. I’m pretty thick skinned about chanting and singing at football. I can’t even get too excited about the disaster stuff as long as it’s not personalised. But the later verses of that song were the most disgusting thing we ever sang at the Riverside, and up there with that Holgate chant that had the line “shoot that n-“ in it.
 
I'm actually partial to a bit of Alex Scott & frequently download Football Focus if I decide to watch the live game. Leanne Sanderson among others have me reaching for the off button however
 
I think Kelly does a great job as anchor.
I can't stand Vicki Sparks as a commentator.
Nothing to do with their sex, but my opinion on their capabilities.

I get more value from the bright ex pro men as pundits as I think they have more relevant insight.
Neville, Carragher, Keane add more value than Emma or Karen who in turn add more than Clinton Morrison.
It's about credibility, knowledge, insight and the ability to articulate it.

I may be alone in this, but I can't work up the passion to care about this. His comments maybe sexist, but compared to some of the comments aimed at women on here, it's very mild.
 
I thought the female commentator on Everton vs Newcastle was good, think her name was Lucy.

There are some women in football media who are very good - Laura Woods, Bianca Westwood, Emma Hayes. I think Alex Scott is ok in her role. I have no issue with female anchors and commentators.

What I take exception to is when they conflate the men’s and women’s games. They’ll be covering a men’s FA cup draw or game and they’ll be like “and here is someone who knows a thing or two about winning this competition…Eni Aluko.” She knows absolutely nothing about winning the men’s FA cup, it’s a totally different standard.

You can criticise the male pundits like Sherwood, Merson and Owen all you want but as soon as you criticise the female ones you’re labelled sexist, misogynistic or a racist.

I don’t mind pundits like Karen Carney but what do they seriously add to coverage of Premier League or Champions League? You don’t get the likes of Clinton Morrison, Peter Beagrie or Andy Hinchcliffe covering UCL games on English tv as they wouldn’t be taken seriously, they’ve not played at that level. Yet they’ll elevate females from the woman’s game which is below league two standard.
 
I’m surprised more people in the game haven’t spoken up against him, especially when he’s so publicly targeting individuals like Laura Woods and Bianca Westwood.
