So if I'm right, your premise is that anyone calling Cummins a liar now had to believe he was "reliable and full of integrity" before his sacking. I doubt anyone believed that as soon a the Barnard castle story surfaced so your argument is unsound. Most I believe were calling for his sacking immediately and I was certainly one of them. What a fool he was to be the architect of the rule and the one to break it. My point remains that it is no surprise that todays comments are an absolute gift for those who hate and despise the Government and I'm not in the least surprised that they are celebrating.That argument is sunk before it even gets going. If you are going to say those who held Cummings up as a liar now want to believe him, you absolutely have to accept that those who held Cummings up as reliable and full of integrity now want to make out he is a liar.
