There's been a big push by the hard right, supported by propaganda in the media, Brexit was part of that push, its popularity giving legitimacy to xenophobia.
A question for ST, Rob, Jam, CtC. And the others who have said either all or most Brexiteers are racist.
Why shouldn't I take it personally? Be default you call them racist ST, said all ask him, all of you Have used the word most. So which of the ones I identified are racists. Tell me.Nobody has said that. What we have said is this: not all Brexit voters are racist but all racists are Brexit voters. We have also said that the Brexit vote was materially related to immigration and that since the vote racists and the far right have been emboldened and feel legitimised. None of that is personal to either you or your family.
You are changing the agenda, although I agree with you completely, Ming's told as it needed to be told.I think we need to start to look at making people responsible for their actions, and coming down hard on them extremely severely.
On social media it's probably going to mean that you have to verify accounts, so they're linked to a person, the account might not have to display who that person is, but there needs to be a way for the authorities to easily trace online racists and trolls. Too many anonymous accounts spreading hate, free of risk to themselves, there's no need for it.
Why shouldn't I take it personally? Be default you call them racist ST, said all ask him, all of you Have used the word most. So which of the ones I identified are racists. Tell me.
Or is it only the ones I don't know. Mr &Mrs Jones in Hartlepool and their family. Miss Muldoon in Purfleet?
Come on
Grow up. Nobody said everyone that voted for Brexit are racists or 'most' and you know that so stop being childish.A question for ST, Rob, Jam, CtC. And the others who have said either all or most Brexiteers are racist. Let's be brutal, does that include:
Me
My wife who taught in a mainly Muslim school and asked to go to the mosque to thank her.
My sister in law, a heart nurse who has been part of saving 1000's of life's. I don't think she refused non whites.
My brother who runs a charity, I think Rob knows him, a multi cultural charity helping people get over an illness.
My son's.
Two lads who Clean the streets,
Somewhere there us between 8m and 17m racists based on your criteria.
I find what you say about my family frankly I think you are it is disgusting.
No you read the threads, the words used are in ST case, all, and in other most. Stop being a coward, name which from the list is. as you say only Brexiteers are racist, so which ?
So which is it? Most , all ....?I have read the threads. I am not being a coward. I am explaining it to you and you are choosing not to understand it.
Nobody has said that, ever, if they have then they would be wrong (but they're not as they've not said it, from what I've seen).According to the fervent remain, the majority of my and in ST's case all, are racists. I find that incredibly offensive.
Read the posts, ST said all, the others say most.Grow up. Nobody said everyone that voted for Brexit are racists or 'most' and you know that so stop being childish.
It diminishes your opinion.
Xenophobics maybe
You are still saying an element of my family are racist. Disgusting.
INobody has said that, ever, if they have then they would be wrong (but they're not as they've not said it, from what I've seen).
You either don't understand, in which case, you probably shouldn't bother commenting. Or you do understand but are just playing dumb, or trying to turn the tables, or be deceptive about what was said.
Nobody is saying you're racist.
But there are lots of racists about, and loads of xenophobic people, but I bet next to none of them voted to remain. If they didn't vote remain, then they're going to be voting leave. Seeing as leave was largely about immigration, then it's totally fair to assume that racist people will vote to leave. This does not mean all leavers are racist, far from it, most aren't, but the racist vote probably tipped the balance of the result. Without the racism/ xenophobia, we would not have left, that's the basics of it.
So who are these invisible people? Doctors. Nurses teachers. Social workers, street cleaners , gas fitters , who are you accusing ?No, I'm absolutely not saying anything of the sort. Get a grip.
I think Adi is saying the complete opposite tbf so your probably having a go at the wrong fella here!Read the posts, ST said all, the others say most.
Why is it childish for calling you out by the generalisation that all Brexiteers are racist. I note on another thread people are offended that evidently all England fans are scum
I
So who are these invisible people? Doctors. Nurses teachers. Social workers, street cleaners , gas fitters , who are you accusing ?
Well explained, lets see if he finally gets it.Are you being serious here? Do you really not understand?
This is what I am saying:
Not all Brexit voters are racist: this means that I do not believe that everyone that voted for Brexit is a racist. This covers off all of the people in your family that voted to leave and who you say aren't racist. Your people are therefore firmly in this category i.e. I am not calling them racist.
All racists are Brexit voters: this means that anyone who *is* a racist is more likely than not to have voted for Brexit. In other words if you meet a racist then it's likely that they will tell you they voted for Brexit. I do not for a second believe anyone with far right, fascist or racist views would have voted to remain.
I can't speak for anyone else, I can only tell you my own view and that is pretty much as clear as I can make it.
